🤔 Why Journal?
I can’t say enough about all the benefits of journaling. Since I started doing it, I started feeling SO much better. Journaling reduces anxiety, helps to handle overwhelming emotions, and works great for uplifting your mood.
Journaling regularly will help you rebuild the connection with yourself, along with improving your productivity and boosting your self-esteem.
✍🏼 How to Journal
There is nothing easier than starting a journal. All you need is a notebook and a pen that you like. You can also use your computer or a notes app on your phone. Whatever works best.
This is my journal and I am obsessed. Mine has plain pages so that I have complete freedom. And these pens are the best for journaling, the handwriting comes out fine and beautiful.
At first, you might need some time to get into a habit. Start with just 5-10 minutes of journaling. If you are anything like me, you probably need quite some time to get focused. To help yourself with that, create a little routine. Your mind will get used to it and will know when it’s time for some self-care.
- Set an environment — pour yourself a cup of coffee or light up a candle. Choose something that brings you peace.
- Do a short meditation.
- Take your journal and a pen, or laptop
- Write time, date, and location as an entry
Then brain dump, or make a list of things, or choose a prompt, or express some gratitude!
