Are you looking for some ways to connect with your true self? I’ve got one for you. I recently learned that balancing masculine and feminine energy can be a very powerful practice, and I’ve been testing it a lot. Let me tell you, it is GOOD! Let’s dive into it together and learn more!

So as you may already know… I love combining things that seem to be about different matters and inventing something amazing and unexpected out of it.

Briefly speaking, any person on this planet is ruled by feminine and masculine energies. It is always a combination of both.

It’s just for each person one of these energies would be leading.

Typically, for women, it’s feminine energy, and for men, it’s masculine energy. However, this is not set in stone so there are other variations!

(A woman can be led mostly by masculine energy, and a man can be mostly led by the feminine.)

And I know a lot of men are wondering how to increase masculine energy to be attractive, and women are curious about how to use your feminine energy in a relationship…

Whereas you actually get the biggest benefit of this in a relationship with yourself.

It’s safe to say that people with opposite dominant energies prefer to take care of themselves in different ways.

So I thought to myself: Why not utilize these peculiarities and make the best out of it?

This is how my method of balancing masculine and feminine energy to connect with your true self and cultivate self-love was born.

I like to view it this way:

Masculine energy is all about the direction and the result. Feminine energy is all about the flow and the process.

Remember Yin and Yang — passive and active? That’s the closest comparison I can think of.

So what is feminine energy?

I am going to give you my own interpretation.

Feminine energy is a certain vibrational frequency that conditions one to feel and act in a specific way that would be described (if need be) as:

  • Nurturing
  • Soft
  • Compassionate
  • Flexible

✨ Signs of high feminine energy

You can tell that someone is in their high feminine energy when they are wise and observant, calm and relaxed, open-hearted and trusting.

They would also:

  • Accept people the way they are;
  • Forgive easily;
  • Multitask;
  • Make you feel comfortable;
  • Have a playful nature;
  • Help resolve conflicts;
  • Love unconditionally;
  • Listen to their gut feeling while looking for answers;
  • Set boundaries;
  • Express feelings and emotions openly and get vulnerable;
  • Thrive during changes and cycles;
  • Tend to be in a present moment.

And this is not even a full list!

Accordingly, masculine energy is a certain vibrational frequency that conditions one to feel and act in a specific way that would be described (if need be) as:

  • Active
  • Efficient
  • Structured
  • Consistent
  • Logical
  • Focused
  • Reasonable
  • Protective

✨ Signs of high masculine energy

You can tell that someone is in their high feminine energy when they are initiative and decisive, assertive and confident.

They would also:

  • Take action willingly;
  • Look for solutions — focused on problem solving;
  • Have a powerful presence;
  • Take a position of a leader;
  • Set challenges for themselves;
  • Tend to be reserved;
  • Seek understanding of everything;
  • Usually focus on one task;
  • Thrive with routines;
  • Set their life priorities.

💕 Balancing masculine and feminine energy for self love

Finally, we got to the main event!

Are you ready to know what this is all about?..

Alright!

It’s about inner harmony.

Our main goal is to feel like we are our true selves. Not faking, covering, hiding it.

Now, it’s important to understand that it is always a combination of the two, these energies work in tandem, and that’s when they give us that best “frequency salad” that makes us feel amazing.

It is only possible when two energies are in balance. And that is in balance specifically according to your own nature.

So how do you know what your own balance of masculine and feminine energy is?

There is only one answer:

Test test test.

Experiment with all kinds of practices (I listed them below) and try different variations of energies ratio.

Try all the feminine energy activities for a week and notice how you feel.

Start adding masculine energy activities. Notice how you feel again.

Which activities bring you the most joy and make you feel best?

There are millions of variations of the circumstance possible.

For example, if you are a woman whose leading feminine energy is blocked for some reason (I am giving more details on this later in this post) and you are constantly in your masculine, it might feel absolutely fantastic to JUST be actively trying to tap into your feminine energy.

It doesn’t mean you only need the feminine one. It just means your energy scales are all the way on the masculine side, and you are restoring the balance.

You might even get sick if one of your energies is completely off.

For example, for a woman, her body would push her to slow down, relax, meditate, and create by catching some sickness that requires bed rest.

For a man, he might feel resentment and anger building up inside for no reason.

👩🏾‍🦱 How to tap into your feminine energy for self love

As I already mentioned, it’s all about balance, so even if you are absolutely sure that your dominant energy is masculine, you NEED feminine too.

No matter how strong, determined, and efficient you are, it’s also sometimes important to express emotions, be forgiving and be able to adjust to the changes.

So yes, it’s crucial to learn how to embrace feminine energy as a man. Or a woman with leading masculine energy. Or a non-binary person. Again, it’s simply not about that.

(And you are not going to be less of a man after shedding a tear or sharing about fears. It is healthy and helpful to embrace our feminine sides, whoever we are.)

Dear feminine creatures, we need to maintain and support our feminine energy, especially now. The world is ruled by the masculine and we cultivate masculine energy in us, sometimes forgetting about our nature.

Here are some things you might want to do to tap into your feminine energy:

  1. Dance. Even a short 10-minute dancing session can make a difference. Chose soft and slow or upbeat and expressive, but not aggressive music.
  2. Get creative. Start a creative hobby — writing, drawing, flower arranging, calligraphy, sewing, candle making.
  3. Yoga. Get back to your body. Feminine energy is known for a very close connection with the body.
  4. Meditation. Calms your mind and body, and helps to tune into a calm soft state.
  5. Spiritual practices like the moon rituals or manifestation. Connect with nature and intuition through the most ancient spiritual practices. We all got something witchy in us, don’t we?
  6. Get close to water. Ocean, sea, river, lake — pick yours. It can even be a bath or a long shower! Water is an energy transmitter and also is “the most feminine” element.
  7. Aimless activities. Go for a walk without a destination. Go to a bookstore just to browse around. Do something just for the sake of enjoying the process. No result seeking allowed.
  8. Spend time in nature. No words are needed. Nature is the epicenter of feminine energy.
  9. Listen to your intuition. Learn to trust yourself and the process.
  10. Always have something to be excited about. Always have little something planned for the future to keep your energy up.
  11. Dress up (even if there is no reason). Looking all pretty and sexy boosts up feminine energy just like that.
  12. Take care of your body. Get a manicure and a pedicure. Get a massage. Have a bath with candles and relaxing music. Or even a 10-minute dry brushing session and a lot of body butter afterward make me feel SO good.
  13. Hang out with girls. Recharge each other through powerful feminine energy exchange. No guys allowed!
  14. Journal. Reflect on how you feel, write down what you are grateful for, write yourself a love letter. Get connected with yourself.
  15. Embrace receiving. It’s the most natural for the feminine. Accept when offered. Ask when needed.
  16. Be spontaneous. Pick a day once a week (or once in two weeks, a month) when you won’t plan anything. Get playful and adventurous and have fun.
  17. Embrace and express emotions. Any emotion is OK (because emotions are not you). Notice your emotions and if you feel like it, share them with your loved ones (or a therapist).
  18. Practice and cultivate self-love. Pick up some self-love habits and make them a part of your life. Love your beauty. Love your strengths and flaws. Put yourself first and set boundaries.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s now time to balance what we’ve worked on so hard so far.

We need masculine energy in us to accomplish goals and be organized and disciplined.

Let’s work on tapping into your masculine energy:

  1. Take on challenges. There is nothing more energizing than pushing your limits. Remember that wins are great, and losses are useful too.
  2. Take self-responsibility. Being able to do as you promised and keep yourself accountable is a confidence and masculine energy booster.
  3. Move your body. Workouts — especially, weight lifting — and challenging sports are bringing up all the competitive energy within you.
  4. Keep your schedule and calendar organized. Structure. Structure. Structure. Efficiency.
  5. Result-oriented activities. Take on smaller and bigger tasks, complete them and track your progress in a journal.
  6. Be decisive. Take over the important task of decision-making. Take responsibility.
  7. Dopamine detox. Restrict social media, alcohol, drugs, trashy TV shows, porn, and all stuff like that for a better focus and clearer mind.
  8. Get your minimum 7 hours of sleep. Testosterone is produced while sleeping so don’t miss out on this one.
  9. Start a business. Even if small, even if on a side, even if part-time. It’s a great competitive activity. And you never know…
  10. Get things done. Have a list of goals and a weekly/daily to-do list. Work on them. Don’t slack or procrastinate.
  11. Build self-discipline. Develop the habits that will make you dismiss distractions, boredom, or lack of motivation, and will make you sit down and get to work instead.
  12. Develop daily routines. Morning routine to start off the day right, and the evening routine to prepare your body for rest. Again, efficiency.
  13. Hang out with guys. Recharging each other! No girls allowed.
  14. Protect. Provide your partner and loved ones with your protection and let them know you are always there to help.

Whichever energy is your dominant, you have to remember about the balance — that’s the whole point.

🙍🏼‍♀️ Signs of blocked feminine energy

For example, a woman who has too much masculine energy (while her leading one is feminine) will feel lost and frustrated because the whole “energy bank” is taken over by masculine energy.

There is simply no space left for the feminine.

It might happen for several reasons. It can be struggling with anxiety (masculine energy acts as a survival skill).

It can be being deeply hurt (masculine energy as a defense mechanism).

It can be being forced to take over a masculine role, for example, as a single parent or on a stressful job in a men-ruled industry (coping mechanism).

Here are some signs of blocked feminine energy:

  • Never saying “sorry”;
  • Being aggressive towards people for no reason;
  • Seeing femininity as a weakness;
  • Never asking for help and disregarding it when offered;
  • Getting stuck in the past or focusing too much on the future;
  • Neglecting your self-care;
  • Attracting feminine partners;
  • Being overly confrontational;
  • Trying to control everything;
  • Feeling resistance towards womanhood or motherhood;
  • Hanging on to resentments, not letting go;
  • Not being able to relax and rest;
  • Judging people;
  • Nitpicking;
  • Restraining all the emotions and have them build up;
  • Struggling with slowing down and connecting to your sensuality;
  • Comparing yourself to men;
  • Self-sabotaging;
  • Not caring about your beauty;
  • Pushing yourself too hard.

🙍🏽‍♂️ Signs of blocked masculine energy

These are the signs of blocked masculine energy:

  • Apathy;
  • Not being able to sit calm;
  • Being easily provoked;
  • Overthinking;
  • Manipulating;
  • Scheming and gossiping;
  • Staying in the comfort zone and not moving forward;
  • Lack of drive and energy;
  • No libido;
  • Being overemotional (if usually not typical);
  • Lack of decisiveness, indifference;
  • Taking a “passenger seat” in responsible situations;
  • Breaking promises;
  • People pleasing;
  • Mood swings;
  • Fooling around purposelessly;
  • Depending on someone else financially, emotionally, or in some other way, and not doing anything about it.
